* x86: pinctrl: Drop unlikely error messages from TPLSimon Glass2021-01-051-3/+8
| | | | | | | | | These errors are only really for development purposes. Drop them to reduce the size of TPL. The error numbers are still reported. This reduces the TPL binary size on coral by about 160 bytes. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: treewide: Rename ..._platdata variables to just ..._platSimon Glass2020-12-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | Try to maintain some consistency between these variables by using _plat as a suffix for them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: treewide: Rename ofdata_to_platdata() to of_to_plat()Simon Glass2020-12-131-4/+3
| | | | | | | This name is far too long. Rename it to remove the 'data' bits. This makes it consistent with the platdata->plat rename. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: treewide: Rename 'platdata' variables to just 'plat'Simon Glass2020-12-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | We use 'priv' for private data but often use 'platdata' for platform data. We can't really use 'pdata' since that is ambiguous (it could mean private or platform data). Rename some of the latter variables to end with 'plat' for consistency. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* x86: pinctrl: Silence the warning when a pin is not foundSimon Glass2020-11-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This does not necessarily indicate a problem, since some pins are optional. Let the caller show an error if necessary. Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* x86: pinctrl: Set up itss in the probe() methodSimon Glass2020-07-171-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | At present the itss is probed in the ofdata_to_platdata() method. This is incorrect since itss is a child of p2sb which itself needs to probe the pinctrl device. This means that p2sb is effectively not probed when the itss is probed, so we get the wrong register address from p2sb. Fix this by moving the itss probe to the correct place. * x86: pinctrl: Add multi-ACPI controlSimon Glass2020-07-171-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Add a Kconfig to control whether pinctrl is represented as a single ACPI device or as multiple devices. In the latter case (the default) we should return the pin number relative to the pinctrl device. * x86: pinctrl: Add a way to get the pinctrl reg addressSimon Glass2020-07-171-2/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | At present we can query the offset of a pinctrl register within the p2sb. For ACPI we need to get the actual address of the register. Add a function to handle this and rename the old one to more accurately reflect its purpose. | * dm: core: Create a new header file for 'compat' featuresSimon Glass2020-02-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers. One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox which needs to use the system malloc() in some files. Move the compatibility features into a separate header file. | * dm: core: Require users of devres to include the headerSimon Glass2020-02-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At present devres.h is included in all files that include dm.h but few make use of it. Also this pulls in linux/compat which adds several more headers. Drop the automatic inclusion and require files to include devres themselves. This provides a good indication of which files use devres. * x86: Add a generic Intel pinctrl driverSimon Glass2019-12-151-0/+636
Recent Intel SoCs share a pinctrl mechanism with many common elements. Add an implementation of this core functionality, allowing SoC-specific drivers to avoid adding common code. As well as a pinctrl driver this provides a GPIO driver based on the same code. Once other SoCs use this driver we may consider moving more properties to the device tree (e.g. the community info and pad definitions).
